MA Leadership Development
The MA Leadership Development program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become effective leaders in their chosen fields.
Learning Outcomes
The program has the following learning outcomes:
- Demonstrate leadership for democratic processes and systems change.
- Develop leadership practices for equity, community, and justice.
- Apply organizational and leadership theories to practice.
- Develop a leadership vision that is committed to inter and intrapersonal growth.
- Operationalize research-based practices in leadership and systems change.

Annual Learning Outcomes Assessment Report
The faculty of the program measure student attainment of program learning outcomes goals on an annual basis. The assessment processes used by the program are outlined in the Learning Outcomes Assessment Process document.
Program Review
Program review is a periodic evaluation of the program's educational effectiveness, which takes place every 5 to 7 years. The review involves a self-study report prepared by program faculty members, which is then reviewed by external expert reviewers, faculty governance councils and committees, and the Office of the Provost. The results of the program review guide institutional planning, budgeting, and decision-making.
