Program Overview


Criminology and Policing (BA) Program

The Criminology and Policing (BA) program at Laurier is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice system, youth justice, psychology of crime, and more.


Program Overview

Throughout the Criminology and Policing degree, students will take courses in various topics related to the field. Upon acceptance, students should consult Academic Advising and the Course Registration Guide to determine their program requirements, specific courses to complete, and the length of their academic journey at Laurier.


College Pathways

Students who have successfully completed a 2 or 3-year college diploma at an Ontario college may be eligible for admission into the Criminology and Policing (BA) program at Laurier's Online campus via a block transfer agreement.


  • Required final average from an approved program: 75%+
  • Other admission requirements: 60%+ in a 4U English (or equivalent) and proof of graduation
  • Number of transfer credits granted: 6.0 (2-year diploma) or 7.5 (3-year diploma)
  • Number of Laurier credits required to graduate: 12.5 to 14.0

Enhancing or Diversifying the Degree

As a transfer student, individuals can add an option or minor in various fields to their honours BA degree to broaden and enhance their academic studies.
