Pathways to Environmental Studies (BA) at Laurier

The Environmental Studies (BA) degree at Laurier offers students a comprehensive education in topics such as sustainability, environmental impact assessments, field surveying, and spatial analysis.


Environment-related Diplomas (Fleming College)

Students who have successfully completed certain diplomas from Fleming College may be eligible for admission into the Environmental Studies (BA) program at Laurier's Waterloo campus via a 2+2 agreement. The eligible diplomas include:


  • Conservation Biology diploma
  • Ecosystem Management diploma
  • Fish and Wildlife Technician diploma
  • Environmental Technician diploma
  • Environmental Technology advanced diploma
  • Ecosystem Management Technology advanced diploma
  • Fish and Wildlife Technology advanced diploma

The admission requirements for these pathways are:


  • Required final average from one of these diploma programs: 70%+
  • Other admission requirements: 60%+ in a 4U English (or equivalent) and proof of graduation
  • Number of transfer credits granted: 10.0
  • Number of Laurier credits required to graduate: 10.0
