Diploma of Hotel Management

The Diploma of Hotel Management is a pathway course to the Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management. This course develops skills and enhances career prospects in the dynamic, global hotel industry.

Course Overview

The course covers theory and practices within the industry, finance, management, and communication, as well as food, beverage, and accommodation operations. It is offered at the University's Hotel School and provides up to eight units of credit towards the Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management.

Admission Criteria

• Domestic students must complete an interview process prior to entry into the course.
• International students must meet the English language requirements, with an IELTS overall score of 5.5.
• Applicants are selected on their individual merit, considering recent academic performance or professional experience.

Graduates are well-suited for entry-level supervisory positions in the hotel, leisure, tourism, and hospitality sectors. The course also provides a pathway to the Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management, with up to eight units of credit.

Fees and Scholarships

• Domestic students: The course is a Commonwealth Supported Place, with the Government paying some of the fees and the student paying the rest as the Student Contribution Amount (SCA).
• International students: The annual course cost is listed on the University's International Courses and Fees page.
• Scholarships are available for domestic and international students, ranging from a few hundred to several thousand dollars per year.
