• Enrolment information: Students will be required to attend on-campus classes and complete 170 clinical placement hours.

Unit Description

Integrates, applies, consolidates and extends knowledge, skills and behaviours developed throughout the course in a 170-hour professional experience placement undertaken in a real-life primary care setting.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

• Adapt attitude, behaviour, consultation, dialogue and environmental elements of the rapport process to primary and naturopathic medicine-relevant external clinical placement settings
• Justify appropriate assessment techniques and diagnostic reasoning pertinent to primary and naturopathic medicine-relevant external clinical placement settings
• Justify and deliver safe and evidence-based naturopathic medicine therapeutics as applicable to primary and naturopathic medicine-relevant external clinical placement settings
• Independently propose the review process by reassessing patient progress, reflecting on one's practice and referring the patient where appropriate within primary and naturopathic medicine-relevant external clinical placement settings
