Placements, Work Experience, and Study Hours
Students can undertake an internship in the dynamic arts industries. They can also study abroad at universities like the Pratt Institute in New York.
Specialisations, Majors, and Minors
Students complete core studies in studio studies, art theory, curating, studio drawing, and design. In the second and third year, students select from creative and media arts units or units from across the University.

Entry Requirements

- Credit for prior learning may be granted for artistic expertise
Course Requirements
To receive the Bachelor of Art and Design, students must complete 24 units (288 credit points), comprising 20 core units and 4 elective units.

Art and Design
Units include:

- Printmaking Fundamentals
- Painting Essentials
- Create: Innovate: Change
- Digital Fabrication
- Looking at Art
- Sculpture and Spatial Practice
- Photography and Digital Imaging
Students may exit with a Diploma of Art and Design after completing 8 units or an Associate Degree of Art and Design after completing 16 units.
STEM Option Units
These equip students with knowledge and skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, including units like Health and Indigenous Australian Peoples, Essentials of Information and Communication Technology, and more.
Note
STEM Option Units and University-Wide electives are available. Students are encouraged to select one unit from the STEM Option Units.
