Program Overview


Entrepreneurship Bachelor Program

The Kennesaw State University Entrepreneurship degree is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to start their own companies or help others develop their businesses. The Bachelor's degree in Business Entrepreneurship offers courses that focus on how to start something new that others find valuable, whether it is a startup company, someone else's startup, or inside an existing organization.


Program Overview

The Kennesaw State Entrepreneurship degree fosters deep thinking, experimentation, observation, and reflection to instigate creativity and action into economic development. This program includes entrepreneurial orientation in various settings, including:


  • New venture creation
  • Social stewardship
  • Family business
  • Government operations
  • Corporate endeavors The goal is to develop an entrepreneurial, action-oriented mindset and skill set that sets students apart as business owners or future leaders.

Program Options

Students can choose to:


  • Major in entrepreneurship in the Leven School
  • Minor in entrepreneurship
  • Pursue an entrepreneurship certificate customized to their degree and developed in partnership with their home college at KSU
    • Available areas of focus include:
      • Social Entrepreneurship
      • Sports Management
      • Health Innovation
      • Music & Entertainment Business
      • Computing Technology
      • Engineering Entrepreneurship minors and certificates are available to all KSU students regardless of major.

Hands-on Experience

To enhance students' exposure to actual business environments, the Coles College of Business has instituted various programs and centers of excellence, including:


  • Robin and Doug Shore Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center
  • Family Enterprise Center
  • Joel A. Katz Music & Entertainment Business Program These initiatives provide students with tangible knowledge and firsthand experience, integral to their education and hands-on experience as management students.
