Dual Enrollment Program
The Dual Enrollment program at Kennesaw State University (KSU) provides high school students with the opportunity to earn high school credit while taking college classes, either in-person or online. This program allows students to gain firsthand college experience and jump-start their futures.
Program Overview
Dual Enrollment at KSU enables high school students to take college courses, earning both high school and college credit simultaneously. The program is designed to provide students with a head start on their college education, allowing them to explore various fields of study and gain a competitive edge in their future academic pursuits.
Admission Process
To participate in the Dual Enrollment program, students must follow these steps:
- Sign up for Dual Enrollment Orientation
- Meet with their high school counselor to discuss Dual Enrollment courses and policies specific to their high school
- Complete the Dual Enrollment Advising Schedule Form
- Check their KSU student email for advising information
- Complete steps outlined in the advising email
- Register for approved courses
- Send a copy of their Dual Enrollment schedule to their Dual Enrollment Advisor and high school counselor
Current Dual Enrollment Students
Current Dual Enrollment students should:
- Meet with their high school counselor to discuss Dual Enrollment courses and policies
- Check their KSU student email for advising information
- Complete steps outlined in the advising email
- Register for approved courses
- Send a copy of their Dual Enrollment schedule to their Dual Enrollment Advisor and high school counselor
Dual Enrollment to Degree-Seeking Students
Dual Enrollment seniors who wish to continue at KSU after high school graduation must:
- Apply to KSU with a shorter application
- Sign up for New Student Orientation
- Check their KSU student email regularly for important information
- Explore scholarships and Financial Aid
- Check out Housing, Parking, Owl Life, and Meal Plans
Advising and Resources
- Scheduling Advising Appointments: Students can attend advising appointments in-person or virtually via Microsoft Teams.
- Drop-In Advising Sessions: First-come, first-served advising sessions, available in-person or virtually.
