Program Overview
Introduction to eCore
eCore is a collaborative program of the University System of Georgia (USG) established with the goal to make higher education more accessible within the state. eCore offers students the opportunity to complete undergraduate requirements in General Education Core IMPACTS Curriculum completely online via public colleges and universities within the University System.
Program Details
eCore courses are taught by instructors from SACSCOC accredited institutions within the system, and are transferrable within the USG as well as to most accredited schools. The program provides students with the flexibility to complete their undergraduate requirements online, with courses taught in a full 16-week or two 8-week session formats.
Course Structure
- Courses are taught entirely online in a full 16-week or two 8-week session formats.
- 8-week short sessions cover the same material as the 16-week session but move at an accelerated pace.
- Courses are asynchronous, not requiring students to log in at specific times, however, there is a syllabus and schedule to follow.
- Students are expected to read textbook assignments, participate in online discussions, complete faculty-assigned projects online, and participate in lab experiments.
Accessibility
eCore and Kennesaw State University are committed to offering quality instruction to all students, regardless of accessibility issues or accommodation needs.
