Program Details

Mexico

Students at the Medical University of Innsbruck have the possibility to participate in a four-week (or eight- or sixteen-week for KPJ) program at the O.P.D. Hospital Civil de Guadalajara in Mexico.

• Period: All year round, 2 places per month, applications possible at any time
• Requirements for application:
  • From the 8th semester
  • Sound knowledge of Spanish (at least B2)
  • KPJ: positive KMP 6
• Application: Please send your application by email, stating your desired subject and the exact period

Nepal

Students at the Medical University of Innsbruck have the possibility to participate in a four-week program at the Dhulikel Hospital of the Medical School of Kathmandu University in Nepal.

• Period: throughout the academic year, 2 places per month

• Subjects: all available departments at Dhulikhel Hospital
• Application phase for stays 2026: closed
• Application phase for stays 2027: open until October 15, 2026
• Requirements for application:
  • Completed the second phase of study at the start of the internship
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • KPJ: positive KMP6b

  • Dhulikel Hospital is located approximately 30 km outside Khatmandu and offers accommodation and meals
  • Information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Nepal
• Deposit:
  • Since there have been an increasing number of short-term cancellations within the framework of the program in recent years, a deposit of 200 euros will be charged
  • The deposit must be transferred to the International Relations Department via MOBILITY ONLINE after a corresponding request via email
  • After successfully completing your stay abroad and submitting your experience report and confirmation of your stay, you will receive your deposit back
  • A refund cannot be made if you do not start or end your stay for reasons of your own making
