Professional Development

The Professional Development program at Central Michigan University is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and address implicit biases in their practice.

Implicit Bias Training

The Implicit Bias Training program is a 2-hour asynchronous online course that satisfies the Michigan requirements for first-time licensure and license renewal. The program is developed by expert faculty and qualifies for state continuing education credit hours (SCECH).

• The training covers the definitions of implicit bias, the historical impact of implicit bias on marginalized individuals, and interventions to reduce bias in work and community settings.
