Introduction to the Creative Approaches to Public Space Program
The Creative Approaches to Public Space (CAPS) program is a university research program that focuses on innovative approaches to public space. The program is part of the …cole Universitaire de Recherche (EUR) and is supported by the State, the Brittany Region, Rennes Metropole, and the city of Rennes.
Program Details
The CAPS program offers various modules, and registrations are still open for certain modules in the first semester. For the second semester, registrations will start in November. The program information is available in digital booklets and on the formation page.

Events and Activities
The program organizes various events and activities, including:
- Journťe Portes Ouvertes (Open House Day) on February 7, 2025
- Confťrence de prťsentation du master (Master's presentation conference) at 13:00 in the T building, amphitheater T
- Les Mťandres de la Prťvalaye (The Meanders of Prťvalaye) on January 23, 2026, at 16:00 at the Prťvalaye leisure center
- Prix Antoni Gelabert d'Arts Visuels (Antoni Gelabert Visual Arts Prize) awarded to Santiago Morilla for his work "Lo propio es temblar. Memoria forense de la materia vibrante" (It is normal to tremble. Forensic memory of vibrant matter)
Residency Program
The program offers a residency program in partnership with the art & essai gallery, which invites artists to conduct research and creation for the academic year 2025-2026. Carla Adra is the current resident, working on a project to create a plastic form to accommodate a "library of sensitive voices."
Research Carnet
The program has a research carnet, Carnet HypothŤses CAPS, which documents the research activities of the EUR CAPS. The carnet presents events and research work by members of the school and aims to promote the activities of teachers, researchers, doctoral students, and master's students in the CAPS program.
