Introduction to the Cycle Universitaire Préparatoire aux Grandes Écoles (CUPGE) Cybersécurité

The Cycle Universitaire Préparatoire aux Grandes Écoles Cybersécurité is a two-year, full-time program delivered by the Enssat and the IUT de Lannion (University of Rennes). This program is designed for students who aim to pursue engineering studies at the Enssat and wish to reinforce their professional project choices through practice and experimentation.

Program Overview

The CUPGE Cybersécurité program is based on the first two years of the BUT Réseaux et Télécommunications program at the IUT de Lannion, with additional emphasis on fundamental scientific subjects, particularly mathematics. The program combines theoretical scientific teachings with practical applications, including 40% of practical work, a multi-technological project, and an internship in a company. It also provides an opening to skills required for engineers.

Through this program, students acquire a broad expertise in the field of information and communication systems, covering:

• Servers and their security
• Information systems The specific areas of expertise include:
  • Computer networks: local (Ethernet), extended (ADSL, fiber optics, satellites, etc.)
  • Services: web, email, social networks, cloud, telephony, video conferencing, and television over the internet, information security, data backup, virtualization, etc.
  • Cybersecurity: intrusion testing, network security, cyber defense, and crisis management

Additional Training in Human and Social Sciences

The program also includes complementary training in human and social sciences, aiming to equip students with various skills relevant to the engineering profession.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the CUPGE Cybersécurité, candidates must hold a general Baccalauréat with scientific specialties (mathematics, digital and computer science, physics-chemistry, engineering sciences).

Internship

The CUPGE Cybersécurité includes a combination of theoretical teachings with practical application through an internship in a company during the second year.

Upon completion of the CUPGE Cybersécurité, students have direct access to the engineering cycle at the Enssat through validation of the preparatory cycle in continuous assessment. The possible engineering formations include:
