Biology Olympiad Exposure Camp 2024

The Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) is a National Centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, and India's nodal centre for Olympiad programmes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Astronomy.

Overview

The Biology Olympiad Exposure Camp for teachers will be held from November 19 22, 2024, at HBCSE. The camp will include various exposure sessions in theory and experimental components of the Biology Olympiad. Eminent speakers/scientists will interact with participants on various interesting topics, giving them a flavor of the biology olympiad activity.

Eligibility

Junior and degree college biology teachers are invited to participate in this camp. Please note that applicants who have already attended the camp once should not re-apply.

Application Process

• Online application form is available.
• Applicants are required to upload a jpeg file of their latest photograph and a pdf of the recommendation letter by the Principal of their School/College (on the letterhead of the School/College with the stamp/seal of the Institute).
• The last date of application is October 10, 2024.

Selection and Notification

• The list of selected participants will be uploaded on the website by the evening of October 18, 2024.

Venue and Accommodation

• The venue of the camp is Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, V. N. Purav Marg, Mankhurd, Mumbai 400 088.
• All selected participants will be eligible for to and fro travel fare as per the norms of the Institute.
• Local hospitality will be provided to participants during all four days of the workshop.
• Accommodation will be provided only to the participants in the HBCSE guest house for the duration of the camp.
