Program Overview

OU Health Bachelor Degree Accelerator Program

The OU Health Bachelor Degree Accelerator Program is an academic pathway established in partnership with the College of Allied Health, designed for medical-imaging professionals working at OU Health to advance their careers with financial support from OU Health. The program allows participants to enroll in the Radiation Sciences Program at the College of Allied Health to earn their Bachelor's Degree.

Program Summary

The Radiation Sciences Program provides an online opportunity for working professionals to pursue career enhancement by obtaining a bachelor's degree. The degree is a 100% online Bachelor of Science degree and does not contain a clinical component. It allows working professionals, who hold a credential in nuclear medicine, radiography, radiation therapy, or sonography, to finish their bachelor's degree in as little as 18 months.

Admission Requirements

Criteria

OU Health Employees who meet the following criteria will be eligible for admission to the program:

• Hold a professional credential in nuclear medicine, radiography, radiation therapy, or sonography, including but not limited to RT(R), RT(N), CNMT, RT(T), RDMS, RDCS, RVT, ACS, RCCS, RCS, or RVS
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for all previous college coursework

Additional Requirements

And meet one of the following requirements:

• Successfully completed a programmatically accredited program in nuclear medicine, radiography, radiation therapy, or sonography
• Have one year of clinical work experience in a radiation sciences profession

And meet one of the following requirements:

• Hold an associate degree (AS or AA) and completed the Prerequisite List (for students with Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Associate of Applied Science) with a minimum of 60 total credit hours
• Completed the list of Prerequisite List (for students with a Certificate) with a minimum of 60 credit hours of prerequisites

Cost

OU Health believes in the value of education. Participants can receive up to $5,250 per year in tuition assistance for expenses related to classes and coursework.
