The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program is designed for individuals who wish to pursue a career in nursing and already hold a bachelor's degree from a US regionally accredited institution.
Program Details
Curriculum
The nursing curriculum consists of 60 credit hours of courses that incorporate theoretical and clinical content. This curriculum is designed to be completed in 12 months of concentrated study.
Degree and Licensure
Graduates of the program receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN). Registered nurse license eligibility and requirements vary by state board of nursing.
Admission and Enrollment
The Accelerated BSN pathway admits students once a year in the Summer and offers only full-time enrollment. The program is designed to be completed in 12 months, beginning in Summer and concluding the following May.
