Program Overview
Introduction to the Bachelor's Program in Business and Economics
The Bachelor's Program in Business and Economics (BBE) is a 3-year full-time degree program (6 semesters), comprising 180 ECTS credits. After successful completion of the bachelor's program, students will be awarded the academic degree Bachelor of Science (WU), abbreviated as BSc (WU).
Program Structure
The program is structured into three phases:
- Introductory courses
- Core courses
- Specializations and free electives
The first two phases are relatively standardized, but the third phase can be personalized to suit each student's interests.
Phase 1: Introductory Courses
Phase 1 deals with current topics in global business and economics. Students will learn how to assess contemporary economic, social, and environmental problems from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Phase 2: Core Courses
In Phase 2, students will gain fundamental knowledge in business, economics, data analysis, analytical thinking, and academic writing. Additionally, they will enhance their communication, teamwork, and social skills.
Phase 3: Specializations and Free Electives
The goal of Phase 3 is to help students create their own unique profile. The program offers a variety of specializations and free electives, allowing students to personalize their studies. Students can choose from specializations worth either 20 ECTS credits or 10 ECTS credits.

Free Electives
The curriculum is designed to be flexible and allows students to integrate a wide range of free electives. Students have to complete 25 ECTS credits worth of free electives.

BBE Club
The BBE Club's main role is to provide an intercultural, community-strengthening platform for all BBE students. The club serves as a direct way to get in contact with BBE students and study experts for tips, tricks, and mentoring services.
