Program Overview
Introduction to the Master in International Management/CEMS Program
The Master in International Management/CEMS is a two-year, full-time program taught entirely in English. Students can expect to find various core components, such as an excellent management education, a term abroad at an elite partner school, hands-on business experience during an international internship, and a capstone business project.
Program Structure
The following two program structures are suggested schedules. However, individual organization is possible as well.
Suggested Program Structure I
- 1st Term: CEMS Year, Block Seminar, Global Strategic Management, and other Foundation Courses (e.g., Global Marketing Management), Electives
- 2nd Term: CEMS Year – Exchange Term, Global Citizenship Seminar, Foundation Courses (e.g., Global Leadership), Business Project, Skill Seminars, Electives
- Internship: During the summer break, students gain working experience abroad in a full-time occupation of at least 10 weeks.
- 3rd Term: MIM/CEMS @ WU, Foundation Courses (e.g., Global Financial Management, Global Marketing Management), Electives, Skill Seminars
- 4th Term: MIM/CEMS @ WU, Master Thesis, Electives, Skill Seminars

Elective Courses
Students are absolutely free to select the elective courses and the term they wish to take them in. Our elective courses are divided into the following fields:
- International Diversity Management (e.g., Becoming a Global Leader)
- International Environments (e.g., Doing Business in CEE, SIGMA Global Virtual Course - Managing the Sustainable Development Goals)
- International Functional Management (e.g., Global Supply Chain Management, Data-driven Decision Making in International Marketing, Global Human Capital Analytics)
- International Innovation and Entrepreneurship (e.g., Innovation and International Entrepreneurship)
- International Strategies and Organization (Comparative Corporate Governance and International Business)
- Research Methods in International Management (The Power of Experimentation in Multinationals)
