Opis kierunku

The Telekomunikacja (TEL) program guarantees education in the field of telecommunications and basic computer science. The program covers areas such as:


  • Design, construction, and operation of radio communication systems and networks, including cellular networks, dispatch communication systems, wireless short-range networks (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Lo-Ra, sensor networks, and IoT), radio and television, and satellite systems.
  • Wired networks - fiber optic and "copper".
  • Signal processing (including image and sound) and adaptation for transmission - compression, coding, modulation.
  • Design, construction, and operation of radio transceiver systems, antenna technology.
  • Fiber optic technology.
  • Electromagnetic compatibility and safety.
  • Microprocessor technology - practical applications of microcontrollers.
  • Programming, computer networks, and teleinformatics.
  • Operation, diagnostics, optimization, and safety of telecommunications networks.
  • Basics of economics and management focused on telecommunications systems.

The program includes the process of acquiring information, preparing it through signal processing, compression, and coding, adapting it to the transmission channel through modulation, transmitting the signal through the transmission channel, receiving and reproducing the original information at the recipient. Students learn both the theoretical foundations necessary to understand the physical phenomena accompanying signal transmission and the construction of devices, including microprocessor systems, as well as elements of the physical layer of systems: transmitters, receivers, antennas, fiber optics, etc.
