The Architecture and Urban Planning specialisation is designed to enable students to build practical skills and lay the foundations for long-term career development. The program is closely linked with practice, reflecting the number of staff who are active professionals.
Program Overview
The aim of the Architecture and Urban Planning specialisation is to equip students with the skills needed to make an effective contribution to practice. The program promotes a competitive economy by educating architects and designers who are socially aware, developing their skills and knowledge, and devising innovative problem-solving-oriented solutions.
Course Structure
The program is interdisciplinary and flexible, allowing students to choose their own unique way of being an architect. The course matrix includes:
- A (Design): Public buildings, Hybrid Architecture, Urban Design, Urban revitalisation, Heritage Preservation, Habitats, Environmental Architecture, Garden Architecture, Industrial design
- B (Context): Theory and History, Theory of Preservation, Structural design, CAD- and BIM- Engineering and Technology, Law
- C (General): Ethics, Estethics, Art History, Humanities
Studies Plan
The studies plan may include courses from the three groups mentioned above. The program ends with an opportunity to design a unique project in the specialty of choice, supported by a seminar and individually chosen design workshops.
International Exchange
The Faculty participates in the international student exchange system, allowing architecture students to study abroad through international exchange programs offered by the EU.
Graduation
The program of the Architecture and Urban Planning specialisation has been adapted to the requirements of the "Standard of training to prepare for the profession of architect." Graduates receive the Master's Degree in Architecture.
