Introduction to the Summer Internship Program

The National Chung Hsing University Agricultural Experiment Station offers a summer internship program for students from various universities, focusing on agricultural sciences. This program aims to provide hands-on experience and learning opportunities in crop production and management.

Program Details

• The program is open to students from national universities with agricultural-related departments.
• The internship period is one month, typically starting in August.
• The program includes various activities, such as:
  • Organic agricultural crop production theory and practice
  • Management of organic special crop specimen gardens
  • Introduction to and operation of agricultural machinery
  • Introduction to farm-related experiments
  • Management of citizen farms
  • Organic rice production, harvesting, and post-harvest processing
  • Management of genetically modified observation isolation gardens
  • Other temporary management tasks during the internship period

Program Organization

• The program is coordinated by Professor Wang Qingyu from the Department of Agronomy, National Chung Hsing University.
• The program is guided by technicians from the General Affairs Section and the Production Section, as well as all staff members.

Application and Admission

• Applications must be submitted through the respective universities, with a deadline of June 30th.
• The program provides dormitory accommodations, with a basic cleaning fee of NT$500 per person; meals are self-funded.
• Interns must follow all dormitory regulations and program schedules.
• Application forms are available as attachments.

Internship Reports

• Previous interns' reports are available for reference, including reports from Tsai SG, Lin, Tsai, Wu, Liao, Won, and Lee.

Program Schedule

• The program is scheduled to take place every August.
• The application process and review are typically completed by July 5th.
