Program Overview

The Europe Course at Kanazawa University's Global Standard (KUGS) aims to cultivate true international individuals with a deep understanding of European society and its surrounding regions. The program's objective is to foster individuals who possess a strong foundation in language communication, practical knowledge, and cultural tolerance.

Program Goals

The program seeks to achieve the following learning outcomes:

• Acquire fundamental knowledge of modern European politics, economy, and culture, suitable for future professionals in this field
• Develop a rich sensitivity to understand the historical values of European culture, including its ideologies, literature, and art
• Attain basic language proficiency in languages such as French, German, and Spanish, with a CEFR B2 level, enabling smooth communication in international settings
• Possess a multifaceted understanding of the world, encompassing not only Europe but also its surrounding regions, including Central Asia, the Middle East, and Central and South America
• Demonstrate a strong interest in other cultures and a willingness to work and live in a global environment, unconfined to Japan
• Exhibit the ability to observe Japanese culture, society, and history from a global perspective, with objectivity and detachment
• Possess career design skills, connecting one's own career path with the specialized knowledge acquired in the program, to produce a personalized career trajectory

Learning Outcomes

Upon completing the program, students will be awarded a Bachelor's degree in International Studies, having achieved the following outcomes:
