Program Overview
The Chinese Summer Course is designed to provide participants with an opportunity to study Chinese language and culture, as well as gain a deeper understanding of the society and customs of Chinese-speaking countries. The program typically takes place in August and lasts for four weeks, although it can also be completed in three weeks.
Program Structure
The program is held at a renowned university in China or Taiwan. In the past, the program has been held at Beijing Language University from 2009 to 2012, and in Taiwan for the first time in 2013. The daily schedule includes:
- Morning classes
- Afternoon free time, cultural classes, sightseeing, and other activities
- Evening supplementary classes, theater performances, and other events
- Weekend excursions to nearby destinations
