Program Description

The Risiko- und Krisenmanagement module analyzes general risk considerations, the role of legal as a risk bearer, and approaches to implementing an orderly risk process. It also examines the handling of crises and applies these insights to the daily business of legal departments and law firms.

Target Audience

This module is exclusively aimed at lawyers (exceptions possible upon request).

Introduction to Risk Management

• Rechtliches Risiko und Einordnung im Unternehmen (Legal risk and its classification in the company)
• Risikotr‰ger und ihre Schnittstellen (Risk bearers and their interfaces)
• Three Lines of Defence, GRC (Three lines of defense, governance, risk, and compliance)
• Prozesse: Identifikation, Bewertung, Steuerung und Reporting von Risiken (Processes: identification, evaluation, control, and reporting of risks)
• Qualit‰ts- und Innovationsmanagement (Quality and innovation management)
• Rolle von Rechtsabteilungen und Anwaltskanzleien (Role of legal departments and law firms)
• Aktuelle Herausforderungen (z.B. Cyber Risks, Steuerrisiken) (Current challenges, e.g., cyber risks, tax risks)
• Krisen: Professioneller Umgang, Leadership und Kommunikation (Crises: professional handling, leadership, and communication)
