Introduction to the Mercator Kolleg Fellowship
The Mercator Kolleg f³r internationale Aufgaben - Fellowship is a prestigious program that awards 5 scholarships annually to university graduates of all disciplines to prepare them for international leadership roles.
Program Description
During the 12-month fellowship, fellows work worldwide in two to three international organizations, NGOs, think tanks, or companies on a project topic of their choice. The workstations are selected and organized by the fellows themselves. Seminars on topics of international cooperation and soft skills training complement the fellowship.
Program Details
Duration and Start Date
The program 2023/2024 begins with a preparatory seminar in June/July 2023. The project year starts in October 2023.
Funding
The monthly stipend is CHF 3500. Additional funding is available for foreign stays and language courses.
Eligibility Criteria
- Independently designed project proposal on a topic of global relevance
- At least 6 months of foreign experience after school graduation
- At least one year of professional experience (internships are counted)
- Maximum age 29 years (military or civilian service and maternity leave can be taken into account)

The fellowship includes:

The program is affiliated with the University of St.Gallen School of Management, Economics, Law, Social Sciences, International Affairs, and Computer Science.
