Program Description
The goal of the discipline is to form knowledge and skills in the study of measurement theory and ensure their unity, as well as to master the theoretical foundations of metrology, standardization, and certification. The tasks include studying the basic norms of interchangeability, legal foundations of standardization, metrology, and certification.
Course Content
The course covers theoretical foundations of metrology, concepts of measurements and measurement errors, types of measurement tools, etalons, verification and calibration, ensuring the unity of measurements, the concept of quality, mandatory requirements for product quality, legal foundations and methods of standardization, types of regulatory documents, state control and supervision over standard compliance, and the basics of certification.
Competencies
Graduates of the program should possess the following competencies:
- PK-3: The ability to apply natural science, mathematical, and physical methods, and use measurement tools in solving professional tasks.
- PK-4: The ability to apply relevant expertise and research methodologies in professional activities.
