Program Overview
Social Media Management
Description
Students will learn a social media management framework, which will tie together all the theories, best practices, and cases offered in the course. They will learn what a social media plan is and its relevant elements. Additionally, students will earn professional certifications useful for a social media management career. Through practical lectures and guidance from the teacher and experts, students will develop a social media plan. They will also receive specific lessons on social media monitoring, enabling them to present relevant data, trends, risks, and opportunities related to social media use.
Objectives
The course aims to provide students with an understanding of the fundamental concepts, strategies, and best practices that can help individuals and companies maximize their value on and through social media. Upon completing the course, students will be able to:
- Identify principles learned in the course to determine why particular social media campaigns failed or succeeded.
- Use professional tools to support social media management practice.
- Produce content materials for social media in relation to specific goals, objectives, and target audiences.

Learning Methods
The course combines theoretical lectures with the application of theory to real cases. Students will demonstrate their understanding of theoretical information through practical work on real case studies, gaining hands-on experience in social media management activities. Assignments will enhance their technological skills in relation to current social media platforms. Industry experts will be invited to give seminars on specific topics to round out the students' knowledge.

The final course evaluation will consist of:
- Written exam (50%)
- Group works (50%) Students can also acquire bonus scores by completing professional certifications vital for jobs in social media management or digital marketing.
