Program Overview

The Founders' Track is a program designed for student founders who work on their startup, either individually or in groups. This program is currently available for the Masters in Financial Technology and Computing, Management and Informatics, and Artificial Intelligence.


Objectives

The primary objective of the Founders' Track is to accompany student founders during the early part of their startup journey and prepare them for Milestone 2, which includes the presentation and pitching of their idea, as well as the creation of a business plan.

Learning is mostly experience-based, featuring:


  • Individual coaching

  • Needs-oriented short courses on startup skills

Examination Information

Passing the Founders I course is a core condition for being promoted to Founders II and continuing the Founders' Track in year 2. Evaluation is pass/fail, with the option to re-apply in the fall session. Students must submit the following deliverables:


  • Detailed business plan, including financials and technology
  • Founders' diary, documenting progress and individual contributions
  • Basic paperwork: IP agreement and founders' agreement
  • Product/solution (work in progress, with mock-ups sufficient) Each group must also present a 15-minute pitch.

  • Master of Science in Financial Technology and Computing, Founders option, 1st year
  • Master of Science in Management and Informatics, Founders option, 1st year
