Program Overview
Analysis of Social Networks
Description
The course offers a comprehensive examination of Social Network Analysis, investigating how connections between social entities influence behaviors and outcomes. It covers fundamental principles, advanced statistical methodologies, and practical applications for extracting strategic value from network data. Participants will work on developing research projects, applying theoretical knowledge to real-world contexts under the guidance of instructors.
Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to apply fundamental mathematical and computational methods to effectively analyze real-world social network data.
Teaching Mode
The course will be taught in presence.
Learning Methods
- Lectures, exercises, and tutoring sessions.
- Slides and lecture notes provided by instructors.
Examination Information
The course evaluation comprises a midterm examination (20%), a research project status report (30%), and a final project presentation (50%).
