Course Objectives
The course has the following objectives:
- Consolidate the study of the French language
- Acquire comprehension and expression skills, both oral and written, corresponding to the C1 level according to the QCER
Course Structure
The course will be taught in presence, with a communicative approach that develops the four skills (oral and written comprehension, and oral and written expression) in a balanced way.
Modalities of Instruction
The course will be taught through a mixed approach, combining in-person instruction (28 hours in class) with autonomous online learning on iCorsi (28 hours of autonomous exercises).
Attendance and Frequency
Regular and active attendance of at least 75% of the course duration is required. The course will take place weekly, with 2 teaching units of 45 minutes per week, in the afternoon/evening, over 14 weeks (for a total of 28 teaching units), and individual study at home, equivalent to about 2-3 hours per week.
Examination Modalities
A final test on the four skills is scheduled at the end of the course. Access to the test is only possible with regular and active attendance of at least 75%. Passing the final test at 60% is mandatory for the accreditation of ECTS and for obtaining the attendance certificate, which will be issued with active participation in the course of at least 75%. Formative assessments will be proposed through individual study at home throughout the semester.
ECTS
For students enrolled in study paths that allow the obtaining of ECTS credits in practical language courses, the course is equivalent to 3 ECTS. These are attributed following the passing of the final test.
