The Finnish Language Basic Course is a 6-month offline program designed for individuals who want to communicate in Finnish.

Target Audience

This program is intended for those who wish to communicate on everyday topics in Finnish.

Program Description

The program utilizes modern, authentic Finnish language textbooks and supplementary materials developed by instructors and methodologists from the Higher School of International Relations, Humanities Institute. Classes are held twice a week, 3 hours a day, with instructors modeling real-life communicative situations to facilitate rapid progress.

Program Objectives

• You will be able to communicate with native Finnish speakers on everyday topics.
• You will acquire vocabulary commonly used in everyday communication.
• You will be able to correspond with native Finnish speakers.

Necessity of Training

This program is necessary for individuals who:

• Plan a short tourist trip to Finland.
• Wish to participate in a summer school or summer courses on Finnish language and culture in Finland.
• Are sent for a scientific internship in Finland.
• Have the opportunity to communicate with relatives or friends in Finland in Finnish.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the program, participants receive a certificate from SPbPU, which can be sent to the specified email address or handed over in print at the Center's office upon request.

Tuition Fee

The cost of training is 12,000 rubles per month.
