The program in System and Network Administration of OS Alt is designed to equip students with the skills necessary to deploy, configure, and secure corporate IT infrastructure based on the Russian OS, aligning with modern import substitution trends. This program opens doors to thousands of IT departments in government institutions and large domestic companies.

Program Details

• The program is offered in three variants, each with a specialization in domain infrastructure, information security, and virtualization.
• It is created in collaboration with the Higher Engineering School of SPbPU and the developers of OS Alt, company "Basalt SPO", to provide practical skills critical for government and commercial companies.
• Upon completion, students receive a diploma from Politekh on professional retraining and certificates of all three levels of technical certification from the OS developer, significantly increasing their demand in the job market.

Certifications and Diplomas

• Diploma: Politekh diploma on professional retraining.
• Certifications:
  • "OS Alt Administrator"
  • "Specialist in Basalt SPO products"
  • "Certified Specialist in Basalt SPO products" (different for specializations in domain infrastructure, information security, and virtualization).
• Students also receive certificates from "Basalt SPO" upon completion of each module.

Specializations

The program offers three specializations:

1. Domain Infrastructure: With a third level of technical certification as a "Certified Specialist in Corporate Infrastructure based on Alt Domain".
2. Information Security: With a third level of technical certification as a "Certified Specialist in Information Security based on Basalt SPO solutions".
3. Virtualization Infrastructure: With a third level of technical certification as a "Certified Specialist in Virtualization Technologies based on Alt distributions".

Target Audience

• Current System Administrators and IT Specialists: To gain official qualification and master the technology stack necessary for working with domestic software.
• Students of Technical Specialties: To gain a demanded profession with a diploma from a leading university and real experience from developers.
• Specialists Wishing to Transition into IT: Those with basic technical education who want to master a demanded IT specialty from scratch.

Education Format

• Mixed Format: Recorded lectures for a flexible schedule and online practices with instructors.
• Classes: Twice a week on weekdays, with options starting at 10:00 or 18:00.
• Technical Certification: Passing technical certification of the corresponding level under the guidance of Politekh instructors and "Basalt SPO" experts.

Program Duration and Start

• Duration: 8 months (298 academic hours), including final certification.
• Start Date: April 1 (April to January), with no classes in July and August.

• Cost: 119,000 , with the possibility of payment in installments.
• Tax Deduction: 13% for education.

Preliminary Requirements

The program is designed for specialists with higher or secondary professional education, students of senior courses. Admission rules require passing an entrance test.

Entrance Test

• Computer Test: FK-323.1 Basics of working in Linux.
• Topics include understanding the login process, working with the command line, basic file and directory operations, and process management.

Document Upon Completion

• Diploma: SPbPU diploma on professional retraining, certifying the right to engage in activities in the sphere of "Administration of information and communication (infocommunication) systems".
