South Dakota Early Childhood Enrichment Ongoing Health and Safety Training

The South Dakota Early Childhood Enrichment Ongoing Health and Safety Training is a program designed to meet ongoing training requirements for staff working in state licensed and registered child care programs.

Level II

The Level II online, on-demand series is designed for staff who have completed the Level I South Dakota Orientation to Child Care training series. This training must be completed within five years from the date of employment.

Program Details

• The Level II training briefly reviews content from the 13 topic areas covered in the Level I South Dakota Orientation classes.
• It takes a deeper look into each area, providing staff with comprehensive knowledge and skills.
• Completion of these classes will count toward annual licensing training hours.

Access to Past Level II

For access to past Level II training from December 2019 to January 2025, participants can navigate to the training platform and log in to their account to find the available courses.

Program Structure

• The program is structured as an online, on-demand series, allowing participants to complete the training at their own pace.
• Participants must create an account and enroll in the self-paced training to access the course materials.

Requirements

• Staff must have completed the Level I South Dakota Orientation to Child Care training series to be eligible for the Level II training.
• The Level II training must be completed within five years from the date of employment.
