Swift & Strong Speed Training

Course Description

This class is a great fit for beginner to advanced runners. The class will help participants advance their speed technique and acceleration skills in a fun environment. The focus of the class will be on speed, acceleration, and neuromuscular development for running, general sports, and/or keeping up with others.


Requirements to Take the Class

  • Must have a previous workout base of 2 months or more
  • Must be able to do stairs
  • GPS and/or timing watch recommended
  • Layered clothing is recommended

Class Details

  • The class will meet by the track outside the Student Recreation Center.
  • The class will incorporate speed drills, hills, and resistance runs, stairs, shorter sprints, and interval training.
  • Class will run RAIN OR SHINE, the only thing that will stop us is ice or lightning.
