Program Overview
Filmprogrammet, 180 hp
The Film Program at Örebro University offers a unique combination of theoretical studies in film and practical courses in video production. The program provides students with a broad understanding of film and media, as well as practical skills in video production.
Program Description
The program starts with courses in Media and Communication Studies, with a focus on film, and continues with practical courses in video production. The third year of the program includes a thesis and the possibility of studying abroad or taking courses in other subjects.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the program, students must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum grade of 6 in English and 1b or 1a1+1a2 in Social Science. Alternatively, students can have a grade of 2 in English and 1b or 1a2 in Social Science.
Program Structure
The program consists of 180 higher education credits, with 90 credits in Media and Communication Studies with a focus on film, and 90 credits in elective courses. The program includes courses in film theory, film history, and video production, as well as a thesis.
