Ekonomiprogrammet

The Ekonomiprogrammet is a university program designed for individuals interested in business economics or national economics. Students can choose to pursue a traditional economics program or create a customized education based on their interests through elective courses.

Program Description

The program offers a broad education, allowing students to choose between business economics and national economics as their main subject. Business economics focuses on the conditions and circumstances of businesses from various perspectives, including management, organization, marketing, financing, economic control, and accounting. National economics, on the other hand, deals with macroeconomics, covering topics such as price formation and competition in different markets, as well as analyses of factors influencing exchange rates, unemployment, and inflation.

Program Structure

The recommended study path involves studying business economics and national economics during the first year. In the second year, students take courses in statistics and law, followed by in-depth studies in their chosen main subject. Students who choose to study an additional main subject can earn a double bachelor's degree with an extra term.

To be eligible for the program, students must meet the following requirements:

• Grundläggande behörighet
• Engelska 6
• Matematik 3b eller Matematik 3c eller Matematik C
• Samhällskunskap 1b eller 1a1+1a2 Alternatively:
• Engelska nivĺ 2
• Matematik fortsättning nivĺ 1b eller nivĺ 1c
• Samhällskunskap nivĺ 1b eller nivĺ 1a2

Study Abroad Opportunities

Students have the opportunity to study abroad for a term at one of the approximately 80 universities worldwide with which Örebro University has exchange agreements. This experience can be beneficial for personal development and is highly valued by employers.
