The Creative Writing Workshop for Researchers and Students is an open group event that explores the combination of creative writing with academic writing.

Description

The workshop aims to answer questions about the identity of academic writers and how they can express themselves through creative writing exercises inspired by trans studies texts.

Facilitator

The facilitator of the workshop is Kaarna Tuomenvirta, a doctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki, who has experience in holding creative writing workshops for various groups, including trans youth and artists.

• The event is part of the 9th Nordic Trans Studies Conference.
• It will take place on December 8-9, 2025, at ørebro University.
• The working group is open to walk-in participants but not to non-participating audiences.
