Program Overview
The Nationalekonomi, kandidatkurs, 30 hp is a university program aimed at providing general knowledge of national economic methods and introducing a scientific approach. The program consists of three delkurser, each focusing on different aspects of national economics.
Program Structure
- The first delkurs covers the conditions surrounding utility and profit maximization, as well as an introduction to game theory with applications in various areas.
- The second delkurs deals with the specification of econometric models for cross-sectional and panel data, data handling and analysis with software, and the interpretation and communication of results.
- The third delkurs involves writing a thesis that applies economic theory and empirical analysis to a relevant issue chosen by the students.

Admission Requirements
Förkunskapskrav
To be eligible for the program, students must have completed:
- Nationalekonomi, grundkurs, 30 hp
- 15 hp from Nationalekonomi, fortsättningskurs, 30 hp
- 18 hp in statistics at the basic level, including 6 hp from Data Mining and Business Analytics, grundkurs, 15 hp, or alternatively 22 hp in statistics at the basic level, including Statistik, Regressionsanalys, grundkurs, 7.5 hp.
