The Laboratory and Veterinary Health Program was established within Ege University Odemis Vocational School and started accepting students in the academic year.

Students who successfully graduate from the theoretical, practical, and laboratory courses in this program are given an "Associate Degree Diploma" and those who have this diploma can work as "Technician".

The stockbreeding industry in the country is rapidly developing, and traditional breeding units are being replaced by modern livestock units with larger capacities. This has led to an increased need for technical personnel in veterinary clinics, dog-cat boarding, training, and breeding units, as well as in feed mills.
