Laboratory and Veterinary Health Programme

Key Learning Outcomes

1. Possesses fundamental, current, and practical knowledge related to Laboratory and Veterinary Health Technology.
2. Defines the basic characteristics of animal species and breeds.
3. Explains animal rights, animal welfare, and ethical rules.
4. Gains knowledge about occupational health and safety, environmental awareness, and quality processes.
5. Describes the laboratory environment and operations related to animal health, and applies laboratory hygiene and safety.
6. Follows current developments and practices in the profession, and uses them effectively.
7. Effectively uses information technologies (software, programs, animation, etc.) related to the profession.
8. Has the ability to independently evaluate and propose solutions to professional problems and issues with an analytical and critical approach.
9. Assists the veterinarian during examinations, imaging, and surgical procedures, and carries out all applications planned by the veterinarian.
10. Effectively presents thoughts in written and verbal communication at the level of knowledge and skills, expressing them clearly.
11. Takes responsibility as a team member to solve complex problems encountered in practices related to the field.
12. Has awareness of career management and lifelong learning.
13. Holds social, scientific, cultural, and ethical values during the stages of data collection, implementation, and dissemination of results related to the field.
14. Uses a foreign language to follow information in the field and communicate with colleagues.
