Bitki Koruma Program (Plant Protection Program)

Program Description

The Plant Protection Program started education in the academic year. Due to the country's climate conditions, which are highly suitable for the development and diversity of pests and diseases, Plant Protection plays a crucial role in agricultural production. In recent years, the need for Plant Protection graduates has increased significantly, especially in agricultural production. Many producers prefer to work with Plant Protection graduates, "Agricultural Engineers/Technicians," to avoid problems with "Pesticide Residues" in products exported abroad.


Program Objectives

The program aims to educate students on:


  • Identifying diseases, pests, and weeds in agricultural products
  • Determining their biological and ecological characteristics
  • Understanding their relationships with plants and each other
  • Applying cultural, physical, mechanical, legal, biotechnical, chemical, biological, and integrated control methods
