Introduction to the Digital Media Art Program at Southwest University of Finance and Economics

The Digital Media Art program at Southwest University of Finance and Economics is designed to cultivate artistic talent with a strong foundation in digital media art. The program is tailored to meet the needs of the industry, focusing on the development of creative and technical skills.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Participate in the provincial-level art professional unified examination in their home province and achieve a score that meets the provincial unified examination corresponding professional undergraduate qualification line.
• Take the national unified cultural examination for ordinary college admissions, with a cultural examination score (including bonus points) that reaches the control score line for our school's ordinary professional enrollment batch; for provinces with high school reform, the cultural examination score (including bonus points) must not be lower than the first segment control score line.
• Be in good physical health, meeting the requirements of the "Guiding Opinions on Physical Examination for Enrollment in Ordinary Colleges and Universities" issued by the Ministry of Education and other relevant supplementary regulations, with no color vision abnormality (color blindness).

Enrollment Plan

The university plans to enroll 30 students for the Digital Media Art program in 2024. The specific enrollment plan by province will be announced by the provincial-level admission examination institutions. The provinces and corresponding provincial unified examination sub-categories are as follows:

Admission Procedure

1. For students who are enrolled in our school through the provincial-level admission examination institutions according to the provincial enrollment rules and meet our school's enrollment conditions, our school will enroll students according to the provincial enrollment plan, based on the comprehensive score (provincial professional unified examination score + cultural examination score) from high to low.
2. If the comprehensive scores are the same, the ranking will be determined by the cultural examination score (excluding bonus points), mathematics score, Chinese score, and foreign language score, in that order, from high to low.

New Student Re-examination

After enrollment, new students must participate in the re-examination of admission qualifications and professional skills organized by the school. Those who fail the re-examination or are found to have cheated will have their admission qualifications cancelled and will be handled according to relevant regulations.

Training Explanation

1. The Digital Media Art program follows the school's art professional training program. Students who complete the required coursework within the specified timeframe and meet the graduation requirements will be awarded a Bachelor's degree from Southwest University of Finance and Economics. Those who meet the school's degree-granting conditions will be awarded an Art Bachelor's degree.
2. After enrollment, students are not allowed to transfer to non-art majors. However, students who meet the school's regulations can participate in auxiliary Bachelor's degree studies in other majors announced by the school.

Tuition Fee Standard

According to the price regulation file [2023] No. 260 issued by the Sichuan Development and Reform Commission, the tuition fee standard for the Digital Media Art program is 9,600 yuan per student per year.

Supervision Mechanism

1. The school has established a complaint and reporting mechanism for undergraduate admissions, which responds to and handles various issues in a timely manner, and accepts supervision from students and society.
2. Any violation of regulations during the enrollment process will be strictly handled according to the "Measures for Handling Violations of Regulations in National Education Examinations" (Order No. 33 of the Ministry of Education) and the "Interim Provisions for Handling Violations of Regulations in Ordinary College and University Admissions" (Order No. 36 of the Ministry of Education). If a crime is suspected, it will be transferred to the judicial authorities for handling.
3. The school's disciplinary committee accepts reports of violations of regulations and discipline by relevant departments and staff during the enrollment process, and conducts investigations and handling.
