Program Overview
Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)
The Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) develops young men and women into junior commissioned officers for positions of responsibility in the Army Reserve, Army National Guard, or Active Army.
Program Details
The University of Missouri-St. Louis is partnered with the Gateway ROTC Battalion in the Metro St. Louis Region. The Gateway BN works with seven campuses across the area. Students at UMSL are unique and are able to participate in ROTC classes on campus at UMSL but do build a network with cadets across the area. All students that participate in the program over 3 or 4 years can commission as a junior officer in the U.S. Army.
Additional Financial Resources
- Students interested in the program can apply for Army ROTC scholarships.
- The Missouri Army National Guard is partnered with the Gateway ROTC BN and offers 100% of tuition to students that are qualified to serve and agree to complete the program.
