Program Overview
Introduction to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree requires comprehensive coursework in general education and nursing. The program includes didactic, on-campus laboratory, and clinical activities.
Program Curriculum
- The traditional BSN pre-licensure option can be completed in four academic years with full-time study.
- Students admitted to the traditional BSN pre-licensure option in Fall 2025 will complete:
- Two years of general education coursework
- Two years of clinical nursing coursework
- Students admitted to the traditional BSN pre-licensure option after Spring 2026 will complete:
- One year of general education coursework
- Three years of clinical nursing coursework
Program Delivery
- The traditional BSN pre-licensure option is 95% in-person and 5% asynchronous online.
- The accelerated BSN pre-licensure option is offered 70% in-person and 30% asynchronous online.
- The RN to BSN program is offered 100% asynchronous online.
Accelerated BSN Pre-Licensure Option
- Students admitted to the accelerated BSN pre-licensure option in Fall 2025 require full-time study and can complete the program in 12 months (following the completion of general education courses).
- Students admitted to the accelerated BSN pre-licensure option in Summer 2026 require full-time study and can complete the program in 15 months (following the completion of general education courses).
RN to BSN Program
- Clinical activities in the RN to BSN program are community-based and may be completed in the student's home community.
Clinical Experiences
- Clinical experiences may require weekday, evening, and/or weekend commitments.
