The Bachelor of Science in Accounting is designed to prepare students for careers in accounting and related fields. The program provides a comprehensive education in accounting principles, theories, and practices, as well as in related areas such as business law, finance, and taxation.
Program Requirements
- The program requires 120 credit hours, including 48 credit hours of coursework in accounting and related fields.
- Students must also complete a minimum of 36 credit hours of upper-division coursework in accounting and related fields.
Admission Requirements
Students entering the university may declare themselves as Business majors in the College of Business Administration (COBA). They are advised by Business and may take Business courses as long as they maintain "good standing" status and have satisfied the prerequisites for the courses they propose to take.
Credit Hour Requirements
- Student must complete a minimum number of hours in the following areas:
- 120 credit hours for the baccalaureate degree
- 48 credit hours of coursework offered by the College of Business
