The Certificate in Archaeology is a comprehensive program that provides students with a foundational understanding of archaeology.

Program Requirements

To complete the Certificate in Archaeology, students must take the following courses:

• ANTHRO 1019, Introduction to Archaeology
• One anthropology course at the 2000 level with an archaeological emphasis
• One anthropology course at the 3000 level with an archaeological emphasis
  • Options include:
    • ANTHRO 2109 or 4309, Archaeological Field School (3-6 credit hours)
    • ANTHRO 4310, Laboratory Methods in Archaeology
    • ANTHRO 4326, Internship in Archaeology (3-6 credit hours)
