The program is designed to prepare students for production and technological activities in the oil and gas industry, ensuring the implementation and operation of equipment for oil and gas production, while complying with environmental protection, labor safety, and industrial safety requirements.

Target Audience

The program is intended for specialists with higher and/or secondary professional education, students studying under the bachelor's or master's program.

Program Outcomes

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:

• Determine technological parameters of equipment
• Understand the structure and operating principle of control and measuring instruments and automation (KIPIA)
• Apply standard instructions for operating small mechanization tools and manual instruments
• Comply with requirements for wellsite operations
• Conduct measurement work
• Determine the safety compliance of objects
• Perform earthwork
• Use small mechanization tools and manual instruments
• Read and analyze KIPIA data
• Evaluate the technical condition of instruments
• Prepare equipment for sampling
• Take samples of produced products at the wellhead
• Determine well parameters based on KIPIA data
• Install and dismantle KIPIA
• Apply experience in determining technological parameters based on KIPIA data
• Ensure the state of ground equipment meets industrial, fire, and environmental safety requirements
• Ensure well and cluster sites meet industrial, fire, and environmental safety requirements and labor safety standards
• Analyze gas-air environments
• Keep records of measurements, instrument readings, and research results
• Conduct measurements and determine well operation parameters depending on the production method and produced products
• Take samples of produced products at the wellhead and from pipelines

Faculty

The program is implemented by associate professors and senior lecturers from the Department of Geology and Oil Field Development of the Institute of Natural Resources, Tomsk Polytechnic University, who have experience in scientific research and the implementation of scientific developments in the oil and gas industry.

Material and Technical Base

The program utilizes:

• Unique equipment, including a simulator for operating and developing wells
• Standard equipment, such as laboratories for hydrodynamic research of oil and gas reservoirs
• Production equipment for training, including facilities for the repair of oil field equipment

Certification

Participants who successfully complete the program and pass the final certification receive a certificate and a diploma.
