The Respiratory Therapy, BSRT - Leadership (Online) program is designed to provide graduates of entry into respiratory care professional practice degree programs with additional knowledge, skills, and attributes in leadership, management, education, research, and/or advanced clinical practice. This will enable them to meet their current professional goals and prepare them for practice as advanced degree respiratory therapists.
Program Goals
The goal of the AS-to-BSRT Program in Respiratory Care is to provide sound instruction and resources for currently practicing respiratory care professionals, enabling students to develop the knowledge, skills, attitude, and critical thinking necessary to function as successful and competent respiratory therapist leaders.

Accreditation
The AS-to-BSRT Program at Southern Connecticut State University holds Provisional Accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). CoARC accredits respiratory therapy education programs in the United States, utilizing an 'outcomes based' process to reflect the extent to which the educational goals of the program are achieved and by which program effectiveness is documented.
