Conflict & Resolution Studies

The Conflict and Resolution Studies (CRS) Program at Washington & Jefferson College prepares students with a dynamic, interdisciplinary approach to understanding conflict and pathways to resolution. Grounded in the liberal arts, the program challenges students to examine the complexities of conflictsome fostering innovation and growth, others leading to division and harm. Courses explore interpersonal, intergroup, and societal conflicts across cultures, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to analyze root causes and develop ethical, justice-centered solutions. With an emphasis on leadership, problem-solving, and global perspectives, this major prepares students to navigate and address conflicts in an ever-changing world.
