Children's Ministry Program
The Children's Ministry program at Lipscomb University is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to minister to children and families. The program offers a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Children's Ministry, as well as a minor in Children's Ministry.
Program Overview
The Children's Ministry program is built on a biblical and theological foundation, with a focus on the spiritual formation of children. Students will explore the principles and practices of children's ministry, including curriculum development, teaching methods, and ministry skills. The program also includes a service opportunity, where students will work with a local organization that focuses on children.
Program Foundations
The program is designed to strengthen students' biblical and theological foundation, as well as their ministry skills. Students will take courses in Bible, theology, and ministry, including classes on children's ministry, family ministry, and spiritual formation. The program also includes a capstone project, where students will complete a 120-hour internship in children's ministry.
Capstone Projects
Students in the Children's Ministry program will complete a capstone project, which includes a 120-hour internship in children's ministry. The internship can be combined with an independent study, research project, or a course in ministry.
